Claressa Shields made her own kind of history at the 2012 London Olympics—the first time the games featured women’s boxing—when she became the first American female boxer to win a gold medal. Then she stunned the world at this year’s summer games in Rio de Janeiro, when she won another gold medal—making her the first American boxer to ever win back-to-back gold.

The documentary "T-Rex: Her Fight For Gold" examines her coming-of-age. Shields was only 17 years old when she won her first Olympic medal, and she rose to prominence while struggling with the boxing world’s ingrained sexism and life in her hometown, the hardscrabble and water crisis-plagued Flint, Michigan.
